| May 16, 2012: Save the dates for summer concerts! Drew will team up with Carner & Gregor and a great Broadway cast for a show at the Duplex June 28, and will be the featured composer at the Uptown Cabaret on August 16. More info to come on both! April 15-16, 2012: Drew heads to East Carolina University to conduct masterclasses with musical theater majors on musical theater song form and song interpretaton. April 1, 2012: Drew and Scott will have work featured in Prospect Theater Company's benefit concert "Fools for Love" at the Laurie Beechman Theater in New York. Other featured writers include: Jeremy Desmon, Kerrigan & Lowdermilk, Peter Mills, Pasek & Paul, and Jay Alan Zimmerman, among others. March 22, 2012: Drew and Ben Winters' TYA musical "Uncle Pirate" has been nominated for a 2012 American Alliance for Theater and Education Distinguished Play Award. The award recognizes the writers of the most outstanding plays for young people published during the past calendar year. AATE will announce the winners in June. March 17-18, 2012: Students at Wingspan Arts present UP & COMING at the McGinn Cazale Theater (76th & Broadway) featuring a set of songs by Drew. Tickets are $10. Click above for details. February 11, 2012: Drew is finalizing plans for a concert tour of Scandinavia in June 2012 featuring mezzo-soprano Caroline Glomnes Johansen. Details to come soon! November 28, 2011: An evening of Drew's songs was presented at Lincoln Center on November 28 at 6pm as part of the Broadway's Future @ Lincoln Center series. The evening was hosted by John Znidarsic and featured some of Broadway's top young talent. DETAILS HERE. November 7, 2011: Drew will perform at the Annual Duplex Gala on November 14 at 7:30pm at the Duplex in the West Village. The concert features some of the top performers in NYC Cabaret (roster: Nightlife Exchange). 2 drink minimum, reservatons required. October 22, 2011: Drew was presented with the third annual John Wallowitch Award for songwriting at a presentation at the Metropolitan Room in New York City. The award honors a songwriter under 40 years of age. Previous winners were Joe Iconis (2010) and Adam Gwon (2009). September 26, 2011: Michael Arden, Aya Cash, and Paul Iacono will star in two invitation-only readings of Drew and Scott's new play STRAIGHT at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street, NYC) September 26 at 3pm and 5:30pm. The readings will be produced and directed by Andy Sandberg. Playbill; Broadwayworld September 24 - November 13, 2011: Vital Theatre Company revives UNCLE PIRATE (by Drew and Ben Winters) at the McGinn-Cazale Theater off-Broadway starting September 24. Marshall Pailet will direct the new production. Theatermania; Broadwayworld July 28 - 30, 2011: Alter Ego: A Teen Musical Revue premieres at the Clurman Theatre, 410 W 42nd Street. Drew and Scott contributed the book and Drew and Brandon Lowden wrote a song for this evening which features some of the best young talent in NYC. Produced by Prospect Theatre Company and Directed by Dev Bondarin. Details. June 10, 2011: Theatrical Rights Worldwide acquires the rights to Awesome Allie: First Kid Astronaut! April 27 - 30, 2011: The Theater and Music Departments at Central College in Pella, Iowa team up to produce the Iowa premiere of COLLEGE The Musical! (youtube preview, local news coverage). April 6 - 7, 2011: Broken Leg Theatre Company mounts a production of COLLEGE The Musical at East Carolina University! March 30, 2011: Drew is nominated for the 2011 MAC Award for Special Musical Material for his song All of My Friends. The MAC Awards will be held May 10th at 7:30pm in New York City.
