Sept 4 - Nov 10, 2024: Ghost of John McCain premieres Off-Broadway at the Soho Playhouse. The cast includes Jason Tam as John McCain, Luke Kolbe Mannikus at Donald Trump, and Lindsay Nicole Chambers, Ben Fankhauser, Aaron Michael Ray, and Zonya Love, playing nearly 50 historical and cultural figures. October 26, 2023: The Spanish language film of STRAIGHT premieres at The Morelia International Film Festival. Directed by Marcelo Tobar and starring Alejandro Speitzer, Franco Massini, and Barbara Lopez, the film is a headline title of Mexico's premiere film festival.

May 17, 2023: McLean High School's production of Claudio Quest receives nine Cappie Award Nominations, the DC Area High School Theater's version of the Tony Awards. They will perform the song Platypus Heart at the Kennedy Center. Nominations included best design, best lead actor, best featured actor, and best song, among others.

April 8, 2021: Drew guest lectures at Stony Brook University on writing for new media.
March 19, 2021: The Destruction of Jane, a comic short for which Drew and Paul Doust contributed the original score, is released. The film stars Paul Pecorino and the production team includes entertainer Randy Rainbow. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Ali Forney Center.
March 15, 2021: 1 Night in San Diego starring Alexandra D'addario, Jenna Ushkowitz and Laura Ashley Samuels, for which Drew provided original songs, is released on Hulu!

December 1, 2020: Drew will be interviewed by A Little New Music, LA's premiere organization for advancing new musical theater. The interview will air HERE on youtube live from 7 - 7:30 pacific (10:00pm Eastern) and feature a performance by Hamilton's Hannah Cruz.
November 24, 2020: Rave reviews are in for Starring Buffalo's most recent cabaret ("visiting talent dazzles during covid") and Drew's film High School Zoomsical ("brilliantly innovative and wonderfully fun"). The feature film 1 Night in San Diego is also now available on demand, including Drew's "show-stopping tune".
November 15, 2020: Drew's new short film, High School Zoomsical starring Ryann Redmond, Alan Wiggins and over 50 artists from the Broadway community, premieres on Broadway On Demand, produced by MTShorts. August 9, 2020: It was the summer of virtual teaching! Drew contributed as a teaching artist to six online theater programs including: The Shine Theater Arts Project, Shea's Buffalo's Summer Musical Theater Intensive, The York Theater's Summer Intensive, Onstage! at the Elmwood Franklin School, Project 31 at the Baltimore Boys and Girls Club, and Second Generation Theater's Academy Online.
June 22, 2020: Mexican stars Erick Elias and Alejandro Speitzer presented scene 5 of STRAIGHT as part of LGBT+ Sessions for Pride Month on Mexican television. The broadcast is available HERE.
May 18, 2020: Drew wrote the screenplay and score for MTShorts' new short film, High School Zoomsical, starring Ryann Redmond (Frozen, Bring it On), Alan Wiggins (Beautiful, The Lion King), Kay Brown (Instagram's "Betches") and an ensemble of 50 of musical theater's best. The film is directed by Jessica Ryan (Broadway Unlocked) and expected release is mid June.
March 18, 2020: Stephane Guerin's French translation of STRAIGHT will be presented for the first time at a reading at Theatre Michel in Paris. The reading is directed by Frantz Morel a L'Huissier and stars Felix Beauperin, Aurelien Chaussade, and Alexie Ribes.

November 22, 2019: Hershey's Unwrapped, the show Drew and Marshall Pailet wrote for Hershey's Chocolate World, won the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Brass Ring award for best Edutainment show of the year, worldwide. These are the most prestigious awards in the theme park industry. Hershey's Unwrapped continues to run at Chocolate World.

June 20, 2019: Straight has summer productions in San Juan, Puerto Rico in June (in Spanish), then will be played in English in San Diego, CA in July and Freeport, IL in August.
May 2, 2019: Drew and Marshall have written Hershey's Unwrapped: A Chocolate Tasting Journey, a new family theatrical experience which begins an open ended run at Hershey's Chocolate World on May 20.

July 26-30, 2018: A busy week for Drew! On the 26th, Madame's Soiree returns featuring two-time Tony Award Nominee Bob Stillman (Grey Gardens, Kiss of the Spider Woman) and MTV's Paul Iacono (Hard Times of RJ Berger, FAME). Then on the 27th, Adam Kluge will present a song of Drew's at The New York Times Center at Rave Revue, part of Prospect Theater Company's Ignite Concert Series. Finally, on the 30th, Tiananmen will have a closed developmental reading produced by Matthew Woolf and directed by Stafford Arima (Allegiance, Altarboyz).
May 10 - July 11, 2018: Straight runs at Teatro Milan in Mexico City in a new production directed by Manolo Caro and starring Mexican film stars Zuria Vega, Erick Elias, and Alejandro Speitzer. It will be the first ever production in Spanish.
March 20 - April 8, 2018: Awesome Allie First Kid Astronaut runs in a new production at the Cradle of Aviation Museum on Long Island featuring new iMax-style projections on their planetarium screen.
March 24, 2018: Drew is nominated for Manhattan Association of Cabarets (MAC) Awards in both songwriting categories this year: best song and best comedy song. These are his sixth and seventh career nominations. The awards will be presented March 27 at BB King's Blues Club.
March 9-25, 2018: Utah Rep presents the Southwest Premiere of STRAIGHT at the Sorenson Unity Center. The production has already caused controversy regarding censorship and first amendment rights in Utah. Drew and Scott will attend opening and speak on a panel.
March 6, 2018: Drew's work returns to The Catalina Jazz Club in Los Angeles, when Clayton Farris ("Gray's Anatomy", "Scream Queens") presents "Quiet" as part of the A Little New Music series.

January 10, 2017: Drew sings at Carnegie Hall and makes 3 cabaret appearances this week! First, he is producing an evening of emerging artists from his hometown at The Duplex on Jan 10 (Buffalo to Broadway). Later that night his variety show Madame Mathieu's Soiree returns. Then on Jan 12 he is in the chorus for the premiere of Sir Karl Jenkins' Cantata Memoria at Carnegie Hall. Finally, on the 13th, he appears with Lesley McKinnell (Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder) in Mostly Musicals in North Hollywood. It's a busy week!
December 26, 2016: Tickets are now on sale for Chance Theatre's production of Claudio Quest, running January 27 - February 26. November 18-20, 2016: The Princeton Triangle Club celebrates its 125th Anniversary with a week of special events. Drew honored to be co-writing a new song for the weekend with Award-winning composer Peter Mills. His classic Triangle Song "Orange Bubble" will be the closing number of the "Best of Triangle" Show. Triangle includes F. Scott Fitzgerald, Jimmy Stewart, Clark Gesner, and Brooke Shields among its alumni.
October 28-29, 2016: Drew heads to East Carolina University to teach a pair of masterclasses in the Theater Department.

September 8, 2016: Drew makes 2 concert appearances in September, first on the 8th in New York as host of Madame Mathieu's Soiree Part 5 featuring Allie Trimm (13 the Musical), Brandon Espinoza (Tuck Everlasting), and L'ogan J'ones (The Spongebob Musical) and then on Sept 12 in LA as a special guest at Mostly Musicals LA.
August 27, 2016: Drew and Marshall head to Toronto to join the Broadway Dreams Foundation concert at Sheridan College where they will premiere 30 minutes of a new musical starring Glee's Alex Newell.
July 14, 2016: Drew makes two concert appearances in July. First, on the 14th, he returns to The Duplex to host the fourth Madame Mathieu's Soiree, featuring Elena Wang and Chelsea Piers. Then on the 26th he joins host Ryann Redmond and the Broadway Dreams Foundation for an evening of songs at The Bitter End.
June 25, 2016: Following a hit production at London Theater Workshop in 2015, Vote (for Me!) returns to American soil for one night only as part of Prospect Theater Company's IGNITE series. The evening will be directed by Amy Rogers. Casting TBA soon! Info here.
May 31, 2016: Drew begins his third year as a member of the Broadway Dreams Foundation faculty teaching an Acting Intensive in Atlanta, GA with Craig D'Amico (Fiddler on the Roof) and Amanda Watkins (Beauty and the Beast).
May 8, 2016: After a critically acclaimed run beginning February 9, STRAIGHT will play its 101st and final performance at The Acorn Theater May 8. The production was a New York Times Critics' pick, the Huffington Post called it a "theatrical revolution," and Out called it "a must see." Dramatic Publishing Company recently acquired the rights, so look for regional productions of STRAIGHT near you soon, or mount your own!

May 18, 2020: Drew wrote the screenplay and score for MTShorts' new short film, High School Zoomsical, starring Ryann Redmond (Frozen, Bring it On), Alan Wiggins (Beautiful, The Lion King), Kay Brown (Instagram's "Betches") and an ensemble of 50 of musical theater's best. The film is directed by Jessica Ryan (Broadway Unlocked) and expected release is mid June.
March 18, 2020: Stephane Guerin's French translation of STRAIGHT will be presented for the first time at a reading at Theatre Michel in Paris. The reading is directed by Frantz Morel a L'Huissier and stars Felix Beauperin, Aurelien Chaussade, and Alexie Ribes.
